This year For the first time in 35 YEARS Minnesota is within reach of honoring every hero laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with an American flag on Memorial Day.
200,000 Flags for 200,000 Heroes. Every volunteer and donation make a difference in restoring this important tradition in the name of our fallen.

It is a real honor to be in the presence of so many patriots and Veterans coming together in tribute of our fallen. This is unlike any other event I’ve ever covered. The air is filled with emotion, patriotism, respect and remembrance. The people, ages 0-100, are all eager to help. And we’re lucky enough to be there to capture these moments that will all be a part of the rebirth of this tradition. Minnesotan’s are incredible, and my family and I are so thankful to join together with the community to show the United States how Minnesota Remembers on Memorial Day. #MNRemembers
